The 1stReader QSO script works with QSO release 1.0. This
script has been tested with the eSoft customer support system,
home of TBBS product support. When calling eSoft make sure
you assign "B~~~~Q" as the command to open the QSO door from
1stReader.
The major problem with using 1stReader with TBBS is the fact
that a TBBS sysop can customize their bulletin board system so
a standard default script simply will not work. For this
reason, we have also included two seperate scripts you can
modify - TBBS.SCR and QSO.SCR.
TBBS.SCR is a script that will log 1stReader into the
eSoft customer support system. If you wish to call a
TBBS system that has been modified by the sysop you need
to use this script as a foundation for the changes
required.
QSO.SCR is a script that will handle your mail transfers
from the QSO mail door. Usually, this script does not
need to be modified. When you finish your modifications
to the TBBS.SCR script file it will transfer control to
the QSO.SCR script automatically.
Before you can begin using 1stReader with this system you need
to call the BBS and setup your offline configuration. Make sure
that you setup the compression method (or archiver) to PKZIP
and that the file transfer protocol selected is ZMODEM. Also,
you will need to select the conferences you wish to scan.
You can call this BBS by selecting the 'CALL' button from the
'Mail packets' screen.
After you have saved your system configuration 1stReader is
ready to operate.
